From a members garden in Dundas. The daisy in Norse mythology is connected with Freya the goddess of fertility and is the symbol of motherhood. The word Coreopsis comes from the Greek works Koris meaning bug and Opsis meaning like. If you look at the seed shape it looks like a tick or small bug.
