Wild Ontario Lupine

From a members garden. The Wild Lupine (Lupinus perennis) is the only plant that the caterpillars of the Karner Blue Butterfly can eat! Without this specific native wildflower, the rare butterfly cannot survive, which is why restoring native lupines to Ontario’s sandy savannas is so critical.
